APPLICATION GUIDELINES & INFORMATION

Scholarship funds are limited and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
The City of San Ramon Parks and Community Services Department, with support from Chevron, has developed a Scholarship Program for San Ramon residents requesting financial assistance to participate in Parks and Community Service programs and classes. San Ramon residents who meet the qualifications that can contribute the co-pay for each class registration fee are eligible to apply.
If an individual qualifies for a scholarship, up to 75% of the cost of the program may be funded. The San Ramon Parks and Community Services Scholarship Program provides a maximum of $300 of funding per individual per fiscal year. (July – June). Funds are limited and subject to availability.

Step 1: See Whether You Qualify:
Eligibility Criteria:
- Financial assistance is limited to one activity or program per application. Incomplete forms will not be accepted.
- All financial assistance must be applied for in advance, two (2) to four (4) weeks prior to the start of class. Funds will not be given retroactively to classes that participants are already registered for.
- Submittal of an application is not a guarantee of financial assistance.
- The applicant and participant must be a resident of San Ramon, and the participant must be under 18 years of age.
- Copies of the following are REQUIRED to qualify for the program:
- Proof of residency - Copy of utility bill
And
- Proof of enrollment in one of the following:
- Medicaid
- WIC (Women, Infants, and Children)
- Free/Reduced Price School Meals
- Foster Care
- Native American Tribe
- The co-pay must be paid in advance toward each registration fee, and the fee will not be applied until the application is approved.
- It is intended that this assistance be temporary. Participants may be required to pay full or partial cost.
- Must provide two (2) four (4) weeks to process the application prior to the start date of the class/activity. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline date and will not be accepted without a copy of all required documentation.
- Fee assistance is awarded on a first come, first serve basis.
- Financial assistance is to be used for registration only and does not include transportation (unless it is part of the program fee), supplies, materials, or equipment. Drop-in and Membership programs are not eligible.
- Any past due balances must be brought current before a financial assistance application will be considered.
- Decisions regarding assistance are final.
- Applicants who falsify information or do not attend class regularly may be ineligible for financial assistance. If you have extenuating circumstances, please call (925) 973-3226.
- All applications are kept confidential.
- The Scholarship Liaison will notify you within two (2) weeks whether your application is approved or denied.
