NOTICE OF ELECTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Municipal Election will be held in the City of San Ramon on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, for the following officers:

1 -  Mayor (Full Term of two years)
1 -  Councilmember District 1 (Full term of four years)
1 -  Councilmember District 3 (Full term of four years)

Nomination petitions may be obtained from the City Clerk, located at 7000 Bollinger Canyon Road, San Ramon, CA, commencing on July 15, 2024 and shall be filed with the City Clerk in person no later than 5:00 p.m., August 9, 2024.

If nomination documents from any of the three incumbent officers of the city are not filed by Friday, August 9, 2024 the nomination period shall be extended until Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. During this extension period, no incumbent is allowed to file nomination documents. For information on individuals who have been issued nomination papers, please visit www.sanramon.ca.gov/2024candidates.  

Appointments for obtaining and filing nomination papers are required and can be requested by emailing [email protected].

The City Clerk shall submit a certificate of facts to the City Council (1) if no one or only one candidate files for any office which is elected on a city wide basis, or (2) if no one or only one candidate files for any office which is elected from or by a city legislative district, or (3) if the number of persons filing for offices elected at large does not exceed the number of seats to be filled.  The City Council shall adopt one of the courses of action outlined in Elections Code Section 10229.

Polls will be open Election Day between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
