Sandbag Stations at Central Park, Athan Downs Park and San Ramon Sports Park

Sandbag Stations

With rain forecast into next week, sand and sandbags are available for residents at the following sites:

The locations are marked with blue “Sandbag Station” signs inside the above-mentioned parking lots.

Sandbag stations are self-monitored, so residents must bring their own shovel to fill the bags.

Storm-Related Maintenance Requests:

To report clogged storm drains, downed trees, or flooding challenges, please call (925) 973-2800 during business hours (Monday–Friday8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.) or the San Ramon Valley 911 Communication Center at (925) 973-2779 after hours, and they will contact the appropriate Public Works staff for a response.

The 2024 Bah Humbug! 5K & Kids Dash, presented by the City of San Ramon and Chevron, is a great way to start the holiday season off with a healthy, fun run or walk through San Ramon.

Participants will receive a holiday long-sleeved shirt and the famous Bah Humbug! Ornament.

This event is great for families and children.  

The Bah Humbug! is a chip-timed race.

New Traffix Service to Iron Horse Middle School

Traffix

TRAFFIX is now offering limited bus service to Iron Horse Middle School (IHMS). This service will serve IHMS in the mornings only, with no return service for the afternoons.

Fifteen seats have been allocated on the CA17A route exclusively for IHMS students. The CA17A route is a newly established route servicing the eastern side of Crow Canyon Road and Alcosta Boulevard.

The designated bus stop at Alcosta Boulevard and Woodland Drive is adjacent to the IHMS gym, near the softball field.

The IHMS bus service will operate four (4) mornings a week, excluding Wednesdays, to help reduce traffic congestion. The first three rows of the bus will be reserved exclusively for IHMS students.
Passes for the remainder of the year are priced at $120.

New Play Structure Installation: Ramona Park

Construction Update: Crow Canyon Widening
Construction Continues Between Alcosta Blvd & St. George Road

Crow Canyon Widening Project

Work continues on the Crow Canyon Widening Project between Alcosta Boulevard and Crow Canyon Private (Cobblestone).

Work Recently Completed Through 11/21/24:

  • Completed curb and gutter
  • Completed westbound CMU wall work
  • Crow Canyon Road and El Capitan completely paved
  • Roadway striping

Work Planned Through 11/26/24:

The work listed below requires closure of one westbound travel lane.

  • Continue planting work
  • Continue DG path work
  • Continue westbound utility adjustment work 
  • Begin punch list items

Construction Update: Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing

IHT Overcrossing at Bollinger

Work continues on the Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing at Bollinger Canyon Road. Please see below for anticipated upcoming work.

Please expect lane changes on Bollinger Canyon Road as construction progresses.

Work Recently Completed Through 11/21/24:

  • Completed deck panel installation
  • Completed overcrossing survey
  • Completed temporary safety handrails

Work Anticipated Through 11/26/24:

  • Approach and deck work
  • MSE wall overlay 
  • Irrigation and soil work
  • Electrical work
  • Painting as needed
  • Continue constructing stairs
  • Traffic control adjustments
