San Ramon Olympic Pool & Aquatic Park Renovation Update

Over the past year, the City of San Ramon has worked hard to make important upgrades to the San Ramon Olympic Pool & Aquatic Park including renovation of the 50 M pool, Pool Deck, Play Pool, and Play Structure.

SROP Renovation The most exciting upgrade is the new play structure.  While keeping many of the most popular features of the previous play structure, a humongous bucket was added that periodically dumps water all over the structure.  Children will wait in eager anticipation for the bell to ring signaling that the bucket is about to spill over.  In addition, there are now two water slides coming off of the main platform and a new interactive feature allowing children to spin water in any direction they choose.  This will be an attraction that will provide fun for the whole family and one that you have to check out.

After 26 years of service, the beloved Lil Squirt Water Slide has been retired from service.  A new water slide will be added in the future.

The San Ramon Olympic Pool & Aquatic Park is anticipated to resume operations as permitted by Contra Costa County and State of California health guidelines mid-May 2021 just time to see you and your family to spend an exciting summer with San Ramon Aquatics.

San Ramon Aquatics Spring & Summer Program Update

It has been our pleasure to serve the community safely during the COVID-19 pandemic by offering an opportunity for low impact outdoor exercise in the way of Lap Swim.  The program as been offered continuously since June 2020, meeting the needs of the community.  The San Ramon aquatics staff is very excited for the upcoming Spring and Summer seasons at the San Ramon Olympic Pool and Dougherty Valley Aquatic Center.

There are many exciting programs planned for the 2021 season.  We are planning on offering all of the programs that the San Ramon community has grown to love over the years.  Programs such as Lap Swim, Recreation Swim, Pool Parties and Picnics, and the Splash N Dash are all expected to be offered this season.  It wouldn't be a summer without summer camps and the return of the swim lesson program offered by ElitSwim.

We will be adding program information to the website as program information is made available.  Please continue to check this website for the latest information and safety protocols so that you can plan for a fun filled, safe, and action packed summer at the pools this season.
