Sunset Development Submits Formal Applications for The Orchards (formerly Chevron Park)

On November 21, 2024, Sunset Development Company submitted formal applications for The Orchards Development Project (formerly Chevron Park). The applications are currently under review by the City for completeness. Once the applications are deemed complete, a public review process will begin. There will be multiple opportunities for Public Comment throughout the public review process.
Sunset Development announced in 2022 the purchase of Chevron’s 92-acre, 1.3-million-square-foot “Chevron Park” campus in Bishop Ranch off Bollinger Canyon Road. On December 12, 2023, the San Ramon City Council approved the General Plan 2040 Update, which includes the re-zone of the Chevron Park property ("The Orchards") from Office to Downtown Mixed-Use - South. The specifics of the General Plan 2040 Update and rezoning approvals can be found here.
The City expects the first public hearings to be scheduled around late summer 2025.
